As a result of both raw material and staff shortages, we have decided to temporarily suspend production of our Royal Sussex Traditional and Wealden Sussex Trugs. Over the next few weeks and months we will be training new staff and will advise our customers when we are again able to supply these popular Trugs. Our South Down Contemporary Trugs are still available and are helping us weather the current difficult world economy.
Please Note: Trugs sent to Norway or Switzerland will incur an additional £20 customs clearance charge for which we will bill you separately. Norwegian customers will also be required to give their National Identity Number for customs purposes.
Trugs delivered to overseas territories may be subject to import or local sales taxes.
The U.S. government, under the Trump administration, has cancelled the $800 “de minimis” exemption for small imported goods and added new tariffs (import taxes). As a result, American customers must now pay a 5.8% customs duty plus a 10% import tariff on all incoming goods.
To simplify this for our customers wishing to buy a trug, we have created a new U.S. page where all prices are fully inclusive of the trug cost, door-to-door carriage by UPS, customs duty, and import tariffs. This means there are no additional costs for the customer, and the company will pay the taxes before shipment, which should lead to quicker customs clearance during transit.
