Magham Down is a small village halfway between Herstmonceux and Hailsham and we currently occupy the old Red Lion Hall. Originally the village hall it became the function room for Harvey’s Brewery’s Red Lion Pub. The brewery also bought the field on which Magham Down Football Club still play when weather conditions allow as it is very wet in rainy weather. The hall is over 100 years old and was built in the same year as our old workshop in Herstmonceux and is made of the same construction, wooden frame with corrugated iron cladding. It’s a great place for us and has an amazing atmosphere conducive to Trug Making!
