As a result of both raw material and staff shortages, we have decided to temporarily suspend production of our Royal Sussex Traditional and Wealden Sussex Trugs.  Over the next few weeks and months we will be training new staff and will advise our customers when we are again able to supply these popular Trugs.  Our South Down Contemporary Trugs are still available and are helping us weather the current difficult world economy.

Please Note:  Trugs sent to Norway or Switzerland will incur an additional £20 customs clearance charge for which we will bill you separately.  Norwegian customers will also be required to give their National Identity Number for customs purposes.    

Trugs delivered to overseas territories may be subject to import or local sales taxes.

In the case of the USA Mr. Trump has taken away the de minimis import duty free $860 limit and so import duties (tariffs) will also need to be paid.  The good news is that we can now supply our customers with a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) option.  This means that we can charge you for the import taxes and so your trug will pass through customs quicker and you will not have to pay any extra when the trug reaches the USA.  Please contact us for this option before or after ordering online and we will be pleased to advise the costs involved.  We will use UPS for this service.

Orders for the European Union

Good news!!  We are now listed on Etsy, Folksy and Amazon for our popular South Down Contemporary Rother and Coloured Trugs (www.sussextrugs.com/colours), which means that Etsy will  collect local taxes due in your country at the time of purchasing.  This allows us to now supply our Trugs to consumer customers in the European Union.  We will be adding more inventory to our Etsy programmes soon, including more of the popular South Down Contemporary Coloured Garden Trugs. 

RETURNS POLICY: Customers must request authorisation to return any Trug, although we cannot accept returns from overseas customers.  Where a Trug is returned after authorisation by the company, we regret that we cannot refund the outward carriage/packing charges and there will be an administration fee for restocking. In the unlikely event of a fault in your Trug (not including knots, etc. on bark) we will collect and replace your Trug after receiving photographic evidence.

Sizing Information: Because our product is handmade from natural materials customers are advised that all sizes given are approximate.  Royal Sussex Trugs are measured externally and South Down Trugs internally.  The difference is because we used to be two separate companies until 1989 and we continued with previous measurement criteria.
