Germany Here We Come!
Posted on:On Tuesday 12th September Mike Church and I are off to the Gartenfest (Princely Garden Show) at Schloss Wolfsgarten in Langen, near Frankfurt/Darmstadt. This is a lovely show in a lovely wooded area of the castle and the organisers and fellow exhibitors are all very friendly. The visitors to this show are devoted to gardening and it is a pleasure to speak with both our German and ex-patriot British customers and friends at the show. In May at the Fulda Gartenfest we were featured in one of Germany’s top daily newspapers.
The show runs from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th September and we hope that if any of our customers or friends in Germany are nearby that they will come and visit us.
Lucky us, on the first night the organisers organise an Exhibitors’ Party with lots of lovely food and German beer!! Think of us having to eat and drink so much of it! :o) It’s also the time when the prizes are awarded to various companies for their stand or products.
To top it all off we are staying in a lovely house in a woodland right next to a lake within a nature reserve. The perfect place to relax and unwind after a day at the show. The owner, Holger and his Mum are such nice people and we look forward to staying with them again.
