Dave's Trug Update
Posted on:The other day I put up a photo of Dave’s Trug which he had inherited from his grandparents. Our friend and local Trug maker, Richard Bingham, has advised me that Dave’s Trug was made at the Rich Brothers’ Workshop in East Hoathly. Rich’s closed their doors in East Hoathly several years ago and the business was bought by Dave & Sue Sherwood of (then) The Truggery at Coopers Croft.
Gareth Rich, the grandson of one of the Rich brothers, worked in my workshop at Herstmonceux for a while. Nice to set the record straight for Dave, with our thanks to Richard for his memories!
