Autumn Woodland

Posted on:

Caleb and I have been up to the woods this morning to meet a new woodsman. What a lovely day to go to an English Woodland with the sun shining and quite warm. As our current woods are on the top of a hill there was little water underfoot, just a few isolated puddles. Last year’s growth is now succumbing to autumn and the leaves are golden and starting to drop. There is a lot of chestnut for our handles and rims to cut and we will be bringing some other chestnut back to make small sheep hurdles. Oh the joy of being a Trug maker!
