Apprenticeship Scheme "Fit for Purpose"!
Posted on:In the New Year of 2018 we will be appointing a new apprentice to join our industrious team here at Cuckmere Trug Company/Thomas Smith’s Trug Shop. As part of the process of applying for funding for this application from the new funder we have found, we needed to submit a three year training programme, which, funnily enough, we already had prepared for our own purposes. I am pleased to advise that our training programme has been given the green light by the funder ( a very well known source with impeccable credentials), so is hereby declared “Fit for purpose”. Later next year we intend to take on another apprentice thus give another boost to securing the future of our much-loved traditional craft? Two apprentices now craftsmen, one in training and two more to come!
