Traditional Crafts
Posted on:At the weekend, whilst attending the RHS Wisley Autumn WoodFest I met two very personable young men who are currently full time students at Merrist Wood College. Ollie & Josh were demonstrating their skills at pole lathe turning and had on sale the fruits of their hard work including turned items, spoons and gypsy flowers. Their enthusiasm for what they were doing was plainly visible and they were doing a great job. Well done both of you and keep on working your dream. It was great to see two young people so enthusiastic about traditional crafts. Just the sort of lads I would like to see as apprentices in my own company!
